High Value Quarterbacks

Case Keenum – Minnesota Vikings ($6000) – One of the biggest surpises of the NFL season is the Minnesota Vikings surviving and thriving with their third-string quarterback Case Keenum. The veteran quarterback is playing at an elite level. He ranks tenth over the last four weeks in points at the quarterback position. This week the Vikings travel to Atlanta to play the Falcons in a huge NFC matchup. The Falcons could be without their top cover corner Desmond Trufant. Even with the talented defensive back Atlanta ranks seventh in points allowed to opposing quarterbacks over the last four weeks. This game could turn into a bit of a shoot out. Keenum, the ninth-ranked DraftKings quarterback, would be a big winner if that was the case.

Blake Bortles – Jacksonville Jaguars ($5400) – If you are looking to avoid the top-10 quarterbacks it would be wise to look at DraftKings 16th-ranked quarterback, Jacksonville Jaguars’ Blake Bortles. The often maligned starter is surprisingly a top-20 fantasy quarterback this season. The Jaguars get a rematch with the Indianapolis Colts. In Week 6 the Jaguars shut out the Colts 27-0. Bortles threw for 330 yards and a touchdown in the win. That Colts defense had Vontae Davis and Malik Hooker on it. This week’s squad will not. The Colts may rank towards the bottom of the league in points against by quarterbacks but this secondary scares no one. Bortles would be a great option if you’re looking to save big on quarterback.
