High Value Wide Receivers

Demaryius Thomas – Denver Broncos ($5300) – Once an elite fantasy option with Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos’ wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has fallen back to the middle of the pack. Tons of that drop in production can be attributed to the terrible quarterback play in Denver since Manning left. This season Thomas is the 31st ranked wide receiver in the NFL. Luckily the Broncos get to play a very weak defense in the Miami Dolphins this week. They’ve allowed the fifth most receiving yards over the last four weeks. Thomas could be a great option this week as the 25th ranked wide receiver on DraftKings against such a great matchup. He just needs even mediocre quarterback play and one big shot to make it worth it.

Marquise Lee – Jacksonville Jaguars ($5200) – Right behind Thomas in the pricing chart on DraftKnigs is Jacksonville Jaguars defacto number one wide receiver Marquise Lee. With fellow receiver Allen Hurns likely missing another game, Lee will see plenty of opportunity in a weak matchup. The Jaguars play the Colts, a team they shut out earlier this season. In that game Hurns was the number one passing option and went for five catches for 101 yards. Lee also had four catches for 72 yards. That Colts secondary, believe it or not, had more talent than the current iteration. If the Jaguars pass at all, Lee should be the target and in for a big day.

DeSean Jackson – Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($4700) – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been a disappointment. Quarterback Jameis Winston may return to the lineup this week, a much needed boost to a struggling offense. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson has been the teams number two receiver all season and is the same player we expected. He is a big play waiting to happen but widely inconsistent. The Buccaneers play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Green Bay’s secondary has been awful as of late. They rank third in points allowed to wide receivers over the last four weeks. Both Jackson and Mike Evans should be great plays, especially if Winston gets back into the lineup.
