High Salary Center

John Tavares, NYI@FLA ($8300):  John Tavares is the top dollar and the top play at center tonight. Because he let some people down last time out, his price and game log bias should make him a great tournament play. The Panthers are fifth worst in the NHL for shots allowed per game. Also, the Isles have the third most goals scored this season.

Sean Monahan, PHI@CGY ($7500): If you stay away from Tavares consider Sean Monahan. The Flyers and Flames both rank about the same on shots against this season. Because his game logs are terrible the last few games his floor is 12 fantasy points per game (FPPG). The recent game logs will have everyone avoiding him but he’s a great player and a solid play tonight.

Patrice Bergeron, BOS@NSH ($7000):  Patrice Bergeron was hurt in the early part of the season and has really started to look like the player Boston had last season. He has five goals and nine assists in just 19 games. He is averaging 14 fantasy points per game.

High Value Center

Mikael Backlund, PHI@CGY ($5400): With seven goals and 11 assists this season, Mikael Backlund centers the Flames’ top line an gets time on the power play. The floor for him tonight is 12 fantasy points, good value to win Guaranteed Prize Pools.

Kyle Turris, BOS@NSH ($5000): Kyle Turris will be very popular tonight because Ryan Johansen may not suit up. Conclusion, Turris gets the top line ice time and power play time. He’s an awesome value play tonight assuming the injury news is accurate.

Mathew Barzal, NYI@FLA ($5000):  With six goals and 18 assists in 26 games Mathew Barzal is one of the brightest young centers in the NHL. This game should be a shootout and John Tavares can’t score all of their goals tonight.
