21. Kevin Garnett — Minnesota Timberwolves

First things first; this is not a great jersey. The 2000s were a bit of a weird experimental time in NBA fashion and this jersey certainly falls victim to many of the downfalls of that style era.

Weird, pointy, kind of Halloweeny font used for the team name and numbers? Check

A color scheme that somehow is not bright, or dark, and probably can be best described as “off midnight blue and green”? Oh yeah, that’s a check.

A logo featuring a very angry animal and a scary looking forest of extra-sharp trees? Super-check.

This jersey actually makes the list because of all these negative checks against it, not despite them. Something had to be chosen to represent this terrible era of NBA fashion, and it wasn’t going to be this.

Or this.

Definitely not this.

The jersey does have one great thing going for it in using a treeline pattern in the trim. An inspired, unique, perfect detail for sure.

Kevin Garnett on the other hand? There could not be a better player to represent number 21 on the calendar (especially since Manu Ginobili is already repping the Popovich-era Spurs.)

“The Big Ticket” played the game with a fire and intensity that made him an MVP, a Defensive Player of the Year, a 15-time All-Star, 12-time All-Defensive team member, and finally, in his 13th year, an NBA Champion.

While Garnett had to leave Minnesota to eventually get his ring and had a brief stop in Brooklyn to play for the Nets, he returned to the T-Wolves to finish off his career where it started.

Honorable Mention: Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs), Dave Bing (Detroit Pistons), Dominique Wilkins (Atlanta Hawks)
