Minkah Fitzpatrick

Defensive Back, Alabama

The Chicago Bears looked to have a victory on their hands on Sunday, as they led the one-win San Francisco 49ers late. However, the 49ers have a new quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo, and it appears he has brought some of that winning magic over with him from New England. The Bears lost to the 49ers on a last-second field goal, as they continue their descent into last place in the NFC North.

Last year, the Bears traded up with those same 49ers to draft quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who the franchise hopes will be their signal-caller for years to come. The 2018 NFL Draft class is loaded with quarterback, but not needing one, they may wind up trading their pick early in round one. If they stay in the top-10, they may decide to go with a cornerback, and Minkah Fitzpatrick would be a nice addition to their secondary.

Fitzpatrick is a natural cornerback, but he has played safety for the Alabama Crimson Tide at times this season. He has the versatility to play all over the secondary, and is a big reason why the Tide have made a return trip to the College Football Playoff. He is going to be a special pro, and the Bears need all the help they can get in the secondary, especially considering they play Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers twice a season.
