91 fanbases debut on the Fandom 250

This year, 91 fanbases made their debut in the Fandom 250. Here are the fandoms organized by category.

Every year, FanSideds editorial team ranks the best fanbases in the world for the Fandom 250. The editorial team takes into account longevity and size while factoring in buzz.

Then there is the passion barometer, the measure of a fanbase’s quality. Some fanbases might not be large as others, but they’re potentially more passionate.

There are 91 fanbases that were dropped from the 2016 list and that makes room for 91 new fanbases to creep into the list. It also includes an entirely new category, Internet Famous, for social media celebrities.
