Courtland Sutton

Wide Receiver, SMU

The Washington Redskins have had a pretty rough season in 2017, and they have so many questions as they head into the offseason. The biggest question is what to do with Kirk Cousins, who inexplicably does not have a long-term deal with the team in place. In fact, the organization is still evaluating the player, who actually led them to a division title only two years ago.

If Cousins is in place next season, the team has to go out and get him some weapons. Running back Samaje Perine has been a nice find as a rookie, but the wide receiver group is a mess. The Redskins let Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson leave after last season, and have gotten nothing out of Terrell Pryor Sr., who was supposed to fill that void. Jamison Crowder has been a solid player all season, but they need more than one playmaker on the outside.

With their first round pick in 2018, the Redskins should look to bring in a wideout, and Courtland Sutton should be the first one off the board. He does not get a ton of publicity playing at SMU, but boy does he have the talent to be a good one at the next level. Sutton can stretch the field better than any wide receiver in college football, and with Cousins loving to take shots down field, this would be a match made in heaven.
