Orlando Brown

Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

The Los Angeles Chargers have been one of the hottest teams in football since their 0-4 start, as they have won seven of their last nine games. Heading into Week 15, they could actually take over first place, as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday night. It has been a crazy ride for the Chargers, who looked so bad early in the year, and looked to be headed towards another season in the cellar in the AFC West.

Left tackle Russell Okung has been solid for the Bolts this season, as it appears signing him this offseason was a great move. The Chargers are always piecing an offensive line together in from of quarterback Philip Rivers, and it hardly ever works out. While Okung has been solid, the Chargers should use their first round pick on a left tackle, and Orlando Brown from Oklahoma is a good one.

Brown is a good reason why Baker Mayfield is always a Heisman finalist, and he continues to get better each season. He is also a mountain of a man, and would be able to protect Rivers’ blindside for as many years as he has left. While he is up in age, Rivers shows no signs of slowing down, so bringing in a player who can protect him the rest of the way has got to be a priority for the Chargers heading into the draft.
