Calvin Ridley

Wide Receiver, Alabama

Just as it looked like the Dallas Cowboys season was over, they pulled out a huge victory against the New York Giants on Sunday. The team finally got a solid effort from a running back, as Rod Smith scored through the air, and on the ground. They will be getting Ezekiel Elliott back very soon, and if they can stay in the race in the NFC Wildcard hunt, they could actually make a run towards the playoffs with three games remaining.

As it stands, the Cowboys would be picking No. 16 overall, and they could add to their offense with the pick. Dez Bryant had a standout game against the Giants, but he has had a sub-par year by  his standards this season. The Cowboys need to bring in some talent at the wide receiver position to supplement Bryant heading into next season, and Calvin Ridley from Alabama could do just that.

Ridley has played in a run-first offense during his time at Alabama, but he is certainly one the bigger playmakers in the SEC. He has the talent to not only burn a cornerback down the sideline, but he also is not afraid to go over the middle and make the tough grabs. He and Bryant would give the Cowboys an electric tandem at the wideout position, and putting as many weapons around Dak Prescott is a smart move at this point in his development.
