Lamar Jackson

Quarterback, Louisville

During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills swung a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs to get their 2018 first round pick. That 2017 selection ended up being Patrick Mahomes II, who has yet to see the field for Kansas City this season. Thanks to that pick, the Bills will get to pick twice towards the bottom of the first round next April, and they may think about bringing in a quarterback to bring some stability to the position.

Buffalo has shuffled between Tyrod Taylor and Nathan Peterman this season, and neither has played fairly consistent football. When it comes time to draft next April, a player like Lamar Jackson from Louisville will probably be on the board, and the Bills should draft him. Jackson is going to skip his last year of eligibility and declare for the draft, and he is going to be a fantastic pro.

There are a lot of skeptics out there who think Jackson’s skill set will not translate to the NFL game, but I believe they are wrong. This kid has an incredible feel for the game, and teams are going to be sorry that they passed up on him in the draft. Not only can he make plays with his strong right arm, but he is very good at reading defenses, and some even believe he should have won his second consecutive Heisman Trophy this past week.
