Clelin Ferrell

Edge, Clemson

The Los Angeles Rams have been one of the more pleasant surprises in football this season, although they have lost to some good teams as of late. On Sunday, the Rams lost to Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles, even though they did end his season. The bottom line is that this Rams team is loaded on both sides of the ball, and they have a certain swagger that teams need when they are playing meaningful games in January.

Two drafts ago, the Rams selected Jared Goff first overall, and he has become a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL since then. He has led the Rams to an unbelievable season, although having one of the best running backs in the conference behind you in Todd Gurley II does not hurt. On defense, the Rams are stacked up front, but I feel they could add some depth on the edges via the NFL Draft.

If the season ended tomorrow, the Rams would be drafting late in round one, and could pick up a guy like Clelin Ferrell. Ferrell has a tremendous skill set, and is one of the better hybrid defensive players in this draft class. He has been used to not only get after the quarterback, but also to clog up the middle against the run, and is one of the hardest hitters in the ACC. He is going to be a fantastic pro, and the Rams could certainly use him.
