High Salary PG

Kyle Lowry, TOR at PHO ($8,300): Lowry’s numbers were down across the board on Monday against the Clippers as he finished with just 24.75 fantasy points. I wouldn’t worry too much about that given his strong play in recent weeks and the fact that he’s facing off against the Suns. Phoenix has the worst defense in the league, rank 22nd against the position in their last 15 games, and are on a back-to-back. Lowry had 48.5 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 5, when he was valued at $8,7000. Putting up similar numbers on Wednesday would put him well above value. *****

Damian Lillard, POR at MIA ($9,000): Lillard has had 50+ fantasy points in four straight games. He’s been hot from beyond the arc, is rebounding well, and continues to get others involved. He had 62.75 fantasy points in a Mar. 19 meeting against the Heat last year. This seasons Miami squad isn’t too dissimilar to the team they fielded last season. The Heat rank seventh against point guards in their last 15 games, but Lillard’s strong play as of late dictates that he’ll at least be at value. ***

Chris Paul, HOU vs CHA ($8,400): Paul has been 8+ points above value in his last three games. The Hornets rank ninth against point guards in their last 15 games, but they’ve been suspect on the road all year. More importantly than that, there seems to be no answer to Houston’s offense. Paul will get points if he’s not getting assists and assists if he’s not getting points. He’s also had nine rebounds in two of his last three games. Finally, he’s always good for a defensive play or three. ****
