4. Buffalo Bills

If you would’ve told me Nathan Peterman would’ve led the Bills to victory in Week 14, I’d call you crazy. But all it took was a blizzard that dumped six inches of snow to do it. Who knew that’d be the saving grace? With the overtime win over the Colts, the Bills sit at 7-6 and sit in the final wild-card spot in the AFC, but the road to the playoffs isn’t that simple.

The Bills don’t control their own destiny. They own the tiebreaker over the Ravens for this week but if both teams win out, the Ravens get the final spot. That makes Sunday’s game against the Dolphins even more of a must-win. To add on top of that, the Dolphins are riding high after a 27-20 win over the Patriots. When Jay Cutler is on, this team is dangerous with the weapons on the offensive side of the ball.

Tyrod Taylor returns this week from injury and has a chance to prove to the coaching staff and front office who don’t even want him, that he’s worth every penny. The Bills own the longest active playoff drought of 17 years and are desperate to change the narrative. It’s going to take a hell of an effort the final three weeks of the season but with how unpredictable the AFC has been this year, almost anything can happen.

The Bills are praying for losses this week but they also must avoid ending up in the loser’s column themselves.
