WWE Clash of Champions 2017: What we learned, takeaways, future projections

Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers
What we learned: Did we really even have time to learn anything here?
You almost have to feel a little bad for Tyler Breeze and Fandango here. Even if it’s goofy as can be, they’ve been one of the most interesting and entertaining stories this year, and I’m almost sad to see The Fashion Files go, which seems to be the case given that The Ascension finally figured out that the “2B” actually did stand for The Bludgeon Brothers. Sorry, WWE Universe, no big debut coming to bring this thing to a close.
Breezango was out to the ring first, and to add insult to injury of what was going to happen, they couldn’t even get real screen time as we got the intros to all the international announce teams. Harper and Rowan (I’m glad WWE is insulting us by pretending that they no longer have first names) come out to their new music (which keeps getting better each time I hear it) with their new gear, and you know what’s coming next.
Outside of one offensive move or two, Breezango got absolutely pummeled here in a match that didn’t even make it to the two-minute mark. I absolutely despise squash matches on a pay-per-view, and even though I understand the point of trying to get Harper and Rowan over, this didn’t do a thing for me.
What’s next: Well, we already know what’s next because Harper and Rowan told us. More pain, more bludgeoning, the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end. Cue Stone Cold’s “WHAT?” here. Please just let these guys continue to destroy people and keep them off of the microphone. They’ll be in the title picture very soon and I’m down with that. They’ve had great matches with The Usos in the past, and I’d like to see a program between the two teams down the line.
