2018 NFL Mock Draft: Browns, Giants nab QBs
By Brad Weiss
The Carolina Panthers pulled off a nice victory on Sunday, as they beat the Green Bay Packers, who were getting Aaron Rodgers back. Carolina has rebounded from a disappointing 2016 season to be one of the best teams in the NFC once again, and their star quarterback is back to being Superman. Cam Newton finally looks healthy, the offense is rolling, and the defense is doing enough to win at this point.
Two years ago, the Panthers made it all the way to the Super Bowl, and that is once again a realistic possibility. When it comes time for the 2018 NFL Draft, Carolina will be picking late in round one, and I believe they should go out and get another weapon for Newton. The Panthers traded Kelvin Benjamin during the season, and could replace him with a player like James Washington in April, bringing a player with even more talent at the wideout position.
Washington is a dynamic wide receiver from Oklahoma State, and he would be perfect for the Panthers. He gives Newton the ability to take the lid off the defense, and is the reason why Mason Rudolph has become one of the best quarterbacks in college football. Carolina spent an early pick on Christian McCaffrey last year, adding a playmaker, and Washington would give them another weapon in an already dangerous arsenal.
