2018 NFL Mock Draft: Browns, Giants nab QBs
By Brad Weiss
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hung tough against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, nearly pulling off an upset victory in front of their home fans. Quarterback Jameis Winston played his best game of the season, which is a welcome sign considering he has digressed a bit this season. He has the talent to be an elite quarterback at the NFL level, but he needs to make better decisions with the ball, and try to stay out of the training room.
Tampa Bay has a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but they do have holes that need filling if they want to be a true contender in the very deep NFC South. One such area is in the pass rush, and Bradley Chubb from N.C. State could certainly help them there. Chubb is an explosive player, and some even believe he could be a top-5 pick in this draft, depending on how the order finishes up at the end of the season.
In the NFC South, you need to be able to get after the quarterback, as the Bucs play Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, and Cam Newton twice a season. Chubb is an electric player, who has the kind of motor needed to be able to get after the quarterback every down. Vic Beasley Jr. did a nice job of filling this role for the Falcons so far in his young career, and Chubb could have that kind of impact early on as well.
