Quenton Nelson

Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

The Denver Broncos have struggled mightily this season, but they are winners of two straight heading into Week 16. Sure, they played the New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts, but a win is a win, especially in this year’s NFL. Quarterback Brock Osweiler actually did a nice job in relief of Trevor Siemian this past Thursday night, leading the Broncos with not only his arm, but his feet in a big road victory for the franchise.

When it comes time to draft next April, this Broncos team is going to have a lot of areas to take a look at. Some feel they may roll the dice on a quarterback, especially if they are picking in the top ten picks. However, the franchise may want to go a different route, possibly bringing in a veteran guy, and bolstering their offensive line via the draft might be the way to go when they make their first selection next year.

Last year, the Broncos picked an offensive tackle with their first pick, and in 2018, they should bring in a guard. Quenton Nelson from Notre Dame is by far the best guard in this draft class, and would be another young anchor along a Broncos offensive line that has got to get better. The window on their elite defense is starting to close, and they may only have another year or two to get this thing right, and make a run towards the playoffs.
