DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 20, 2017
High Value PG
Tyler Johnson, MIA at BOS ($4,900): Johnson has 28.25 fantasy points against the Celtics on Nov. 22. He’s been inconsistent throughout the season, but has hit value in six of his last seven. Most of his value is tied to his ability to score and hit from deep, but he does collect rebounds. Johnson is a microwave scorer off the bench and can take advantage of a suspect Celtics bench. ***
J.J. Barea, DAL vs DET ($5,600): Dennis Smith Jr. may return on Wednesday night, but that doesn’t do anything to Barea’s value. He’ll continue to see 22-24 minutes and he’ll be productive in those minutes. He’s had exactly six assists in six of his last seven games. He provides scoring and rebounding to go along with his passing numbers. The Pistons are ninth against the position in their last 15 games, but Barea has been consistent all season, hitting value in 81 percent of games. ****
Austin Rivers, LAC vs PHO ($5,700): Rivers returned on Monday against the Spurs and had 21.75 fantasy points in 33 minutes. He’s missed value in three straight, but this isa favorable matchup. The Suns still have the worst defense in the league and rank 19th against the position in their last 15 games. Lou Williams should be back on Wednesday, but that helps Rivers’ value as it frees him up for better shots. ****
