5 college teams that could beat the Cleveland Browns
By Tre LyDay
4. Ohio State Buckeyes
The battle for Ohio would be a good one. Urban Meyer against Hugh Jackson. Two great offensive minds going head to head to see if the Ohio State Buckeyes actually own the state of Ohio. The Buckeyes are exceptionally talented, and possibly produce some of the best cornerbacks in the country.
If this would have taken place last season, the Browns would have had to deal with Marshon Lattimore and Gareon Conley. I’m sure that wouldn’t be very exciting for the Browns receivers, but Lattimore lined up across from Josh Gordon would be a very entertaining battle.
The Buckeyes own the sixth-best total offense and 15th-best rushing offense in the country. With the way Meyer designs his plays, I’m sure the Browns defense will have a tough time stopping their offense. So long as Ohio State’s receiver don’t show up with butterfingers like they did to start the season, J.T. Barrett should have no trouble finding and hitting open guys running through the secondary.
Joey Bosa had one sack and three tackles for loss against the Browns in week 15 — good news for Ohio State because they have his younger brother Nick Bosa who is pretty good in his own right. I’m not saying he’d wreck the whole game, but as talented as he is the Browns offensive line wouldn’t shut him out.
This game would probably come down to special teams which is Urban Meyer’s specialty.
