Here’s how to watch Friday’s Bahamas Bowl between the UAB Blazers and Ohio Bobcats online.

The UAB Blazers will look to cap off a magical season with a victory over the Ohio Bobcats in the Bahamas Bowl on Friday afternoon at Thomas Robinson Stadium.

In their first season back after being temporary disbanded for two years, UAB was expected to be among the worst teams at the FBS level. Head coach Bill Clark did a terrific job in leading the Blazers to an 8-4 record for their best mark in program history, highlighted by a 6-2 run through Conference USA play that included wins over Southern Mississippi and Middle Tennessee State.

Junior quarterback A.J. Erdely has been the driving force behind UAB’s unexpected resurgence with 2,077 passing yards and 26 total touchdowns to just four interceptions on the season. The Blazers have been solid on the defensive end with a mark of 24.3 points per game allowed, with prolific linebacker Tevin Crews racking up 95 tackles to lead the way.

Frank Solich has led one of the MAC’s steadiest programs during his 13-year tenure at Ohio, as the Bobcats are headed to the postseason for the eighth time in nine years. Ohio won eight games for the third straight season in 2017, including an impressive 38-10 beatdown of MAC champion Toledo back on Nov. 8 in Athens.

The Bobcats have one of the top offenses in the Group of Five with an average of 38.9 points per game, with dual-threat quarterback Nathan Rourke piling up just shy of 3,000 total yards with 36 touchdowns. If leading rusher A.J. Ouellette is unable to go due to a shoulder injury, the Bobcats will rely heavily on a strong receiving core led by Papi White and Brendan Cope to generate offense.

Odds Shark lists the Bobcats as a touchdown favorite over UAB, with the over/under set at 58.5 points. The Blazers have been relishing the underdog role all season long and could have a shot at the upset against an Ohio team dealing with a lot of injuries.
