High Value SG

Dwyane Wade, CLE at GS ($5,300): Wade’s lowered salary has helped him reach value in three straight contests. He needs just 22.2 fantasy points to hit value on Monday afternoon. I expect him to be well over that number given the magnitude of this game. Wade is a guy who will step-up for the Cavaliers against a team that they will likely see in the Finals. He puts up numbers in all categories and I think he’ll raise his scoring in this one, en route to a 30+ fantasy point game. ****

Eric Gordon, HOU at OKC ($5,600): Like Harden, much of Gordon’s value depends on the status of Chris Paul. Gordon is a great scorer, but if he’s not scoring, he’s not making up that value elsewhere. He’s hot right now, scoring 20+ points in three straight contests. He looks more comfortable in the offense when he starts. He averages 29.1 FPPG when he starts compared to 22.2 FPPG coming off the bench. If Paul plays, I think Gordon will still produce a solid 25 fantasy point game, but if Paul is out, he should be over 30 fantasy points. ****

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LAL vs MIN ($6,100): Caldwell-Pope has been a consistent play this season, hitting value in 78 percent of contests. Aside from a 12.2 fantasy point effort to open the month against Denver, he’s been within two points of value or better. The Timberwolves are second about the position in their last 15 games, but I don’t trust their overall defense. Caldwell-Pope is a good scorer who can chip in with rebounds and always makes a handful of defensive plays. ****
