The Houston Texans hit rock bottom at quarterback

The Houston Texans fruitless year just got even more embarrassing. They used four quarterbacks this season, for the third time in four years.

You really have to feel sorry for the Houston Texans. This was the year that many picked them to be a dark horse to be a contender. Instead, they have had to deal with Hurricane Harvey and a rotating door at quarterback.

That door has resulted in a very unsavory mark that the Texans set against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Houston Chronicle sports editor Grey Rajan, the appearance of QB Taylor Heinicke makes the third time in four years that Houston has played at least four different QBs in a season.

This is not a fact Texan fans want to see, and it surely is a sign of a team that just can’t find health at the most important position on the field.

DeShaun Watson, their prized rookie QB. was finally supposed the be the answer to the Texans longstanding QB issues, and he did play like he would be the guy who would stabilize the position.

When he got hurt, the QB carousel was back on in full operation in Houston.

It’s really unfortunate how Houston’s season just turned sour. After dealing with the destruction Hurricane Harvey wrecked on their hometown, injuries, especially to Watson and J.J. Watt, have made a tough year even worse — you have to feel bad for the bad fortunes that seem to haunt this team.

Nevertheless, Houston fans are looking to next year, when the team will get Watt and Watson back and they can (hopefully) find a way to progress forward. For now, though, Texan fans have to sit through one more week of lousy football.

They’ll play the Indianapolis Colts next week, a team that is in the same boat as Houston, and in some weird way, it’s only fitting that the two most disappointing teams of the season meet up to see which one has it the worst.
