The Indianapolis Colts have had a rough 2017 season, and for a franchise that is used to winning with Andrew Luck at quarterback, this has been hard times. Head coach Chuck Pagano is rumored to be on his way out, and there is still no real conclusion as to what is up with Luck’s golden right shoulder. If the season ended tomorrow, the Colts would be picking with the third overall pick, which is not where anybody expected them to be heading into the season.

With that third overall pick, as long as Luck is actually healthy enough to be a starting quarterback in the league still, the Colts should look to get better on the defensive side of the ball. Their offense still has some playmakers, and rookie Marlon Mack might end up being a solid running back at the NFL level. If they bring in anybody on defense, it should be Bradley Chubb, who should be the first defensive player off the board in April.

Chubb is an explosive defensive end, and will have double-digit sack potential in the NFL. He has an incredible motor, and was one of the better defensive players in the ACC during his time at N.C. State. The Colts need to be able to get after the quarterback in the AFC South, where they will have to play Marcus Mariota and Deshaun Watson twice a year for the foreseeable future.
