DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 27, 2017
High Value PG
Jordan Clarkson, LAL vs MEM ($5,600): With Lonzo Ball out of the lineup for the next week or so, Clarkson becomes the starting point guard for the Lakers. He had 42.5 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Christmas. Clarkson is a different guard than Ball as he’s more aggressive with his scoring. It’s a positive sign that he had six rebounds and seven assists against the Timberwolves. That shows that he’s willing to run the offense a bit more and not attacking the first chance he gets. The Grizzlies are on a back-to-back and Clarkson had 30 fantasy points in 21 minutes against them on Nov. 5. ****
J.J. Barea, DAL at IND ($5,000): Barea once again performed above value on Tuesday night, dropping 28.5 fantasy points against the Raptors. He’s been a reliable play all season, hitting value in 82 percent of games. Both teams are on a back-to-back and Indiana looked all out of sorts against the Pistons. It’s unlikely that the Pacers play that poorly again, but the Barea can certainly carve up their defense if they are struggling with their rotations like they were on Tuesday. He’s a cheap option who will get you an easy 25 fantasy points with the potential to be well over that number. ***
Jeff Teague, MIN vs DEN ($6,100): Teague had 36.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 20. The Nuggets are on a back-to-back and don’t play as well on the road. The Nuggets are 26th against the position in their last 15 games. Teague has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was up over 30 fantasy points against the Lakers, so the trend would suggest he’d be under 30 against the Nuggets. I think he bucks the trend and has a 30 fantasy point game on Wednesday. ***
