28. Vikings duck, duck, goose

The best part of the new NFL celebration rules is the creativity factor. Not only have we seen great individual celebrations, teams are getting into it as well. The Minnesota Vikings have been one of those teams taking full advantage of the new rules. I would be too if I was 10-2 and riding high in the NFC. One of the best celebrations the Vikings had this season came by virtue of a classic childhood game.

In primetime on a Monday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears, Case Keenum found tight end Kyle Rudolph for the 13-yard touchdown. After Rudolph’s touchdown, the offense huddled in a circle in the end zone as they did a duck, duck, goose celebration in front of the Chicago crowd. It didn’t last long but it was a well thought out and creative team celebration.

The more people, the more difficult can be to pull off the perfect end zone celebration. You just have to wonder what different celebrations these guys are thinking about week in and week out. It obviously hasn’t affected the Vikings’ season as they continue to win. They deserve to come up with as many celebrations as they can.

As we’ll see later, the Vikings had more creative celebrations this season but this one certainly has to make the list. Let’s hope that this season is a prime example to the NFL that celebrations need to stay once and for all.
