30 best touchdown celebrations
By Joe Schiller
23. Rams Bob ‘N Weave
It looks like the Rams are officially BACK and it’s great to see such a historic franchise back to their winning ways. Back in the late 1990’s in the days of Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce and Marshall Faulk, the Rams were dubbed “The Greatest Show on Turf.” Trent Green’s torn ACL in the 1999 season was unfortunate but it paved the way for Warner to lead the Rams to dominance.
With that nickname, the Rams had to have a solid touchdown celebration to go along with it and that’s when we saw the Bob ‘N Weave. When the Rams would score a touchdown they would circle up in the end zone and swing their arms and legs. The name of the celebration pretty much speaks for itself. The celebration became well known on a national stage when Bruce scored a 77-yard touchdown on the opening play in the 1999 NFC Divisional playoff round. In their first home playoff game in over 30-years, the Rams did what they did best and broke out the Bob ‘N Weave.
The franchise went into dark times during the 2000’s but a move back to Los Angeles, some great coaching hirings and draft picks have turned things around. Now the Rams are top contenders in the NFC and have a shot at making some noise in the playoffs for years to come. If they play a home playoff game this season, they have to relive the celebration in the end zone, it would only be right.
Jared Goff, if you’re reading this, please bring back the Bob ‘N Weave celebration. Sincerely, the rest of the NFL.
