13. Brighton: Find a striker for Pascal Gross

Brighton have one of the best playmakers in the league in the form of summer signing Pascal Gross. The Seagulls just need a more efficient finisher to make the most of the 26-year-old’s vision.

Gross has proved to be one of the bargains of the season after arriving from Bundesliga side Ingolstadt for a mere £3 million. He’s delivered assists and the ability to control games through classy possession.

The problem has been putting the right striker in front of Gross. In this case, the right striker means one with the pace and perceptive movement to make Gross’ through passes count.

Manager Chris Hughton has been leaning on the experience of Glenn Murray, but Brighton need a little more where it counts. Finding an upgrade won’t be easy since Hughton broke the club’s transfer record several times during the summer.

If there’s any money left in the coffers, the Seagulls have to use it on attacking reinforcements before a lack of goals drags them down.
