8. The stiff arm of death

The Tennessee Titans are in the playoffs and it’s thanks to Marcus Mariota. They hung on for dear life against the Jacksonville Jaguars but were still able to come away with a 15-10 win and a much-deserved postseason berth. Mariota secured the win with this first down run late in the fourth quarter. On third and five, Mariota was flushed out of the pocket, avoided a Jaguars defender and proceeded to stiff-arm safety Barry Church into the ground.

It was an unbelievable stiff arm by Mariota and one of the best this season. It forced the Jaguars to burn their final timeout and the Titans ran out the clock for the win. Mike Mularkey was rumored to be on the hot seat coming into this game but he’s safe for now and he can thank his quarterback for that.

7. James Harrison makes himself at home

After all the drama that ensued over the past week, James Harrison made his much-awaited debut with the Patriots. All eyes watched as No. 92 took the field with his new team for the first time and Harrison made himself right at home. He finished the day with five total tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. That’s something he wouldn’t have been able to do with the Steelers this season.

It doesn’t look like Harrison skipped a beat and even against an inferior opponent in the Jets, he was dominant. That bodes well for the Patriots pass rusher as they head into the postseason. This is setting up perfectly for a revenge game against the Steelers in the AFC championship and what a sight that would be.
