High Value PG

Isaiah Thomas, CLE vs POR ($5,900): Thomas is scheduled to make his season debut on Tuesday, but I wouldn’t expect much from him. He’ll likely be on a minutes restriction as the Cavaliers ease him back into things. He needs 27.2 fantasy points to hit value, which could be tough if he doesn’t play enough minutes. If you’re feeling risky, you may want to try your luck with Thomas and hope for the best. But he’s definitely a risk given that he hasn’t played since May and will be restricted. **

Kyle Anderson, SA at NY ($4,900): Anderson had 27.5 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 28. He’ll continue to see decent minutes off the bench with Rudy Gay out and could slide into the starting spot if Kawhi Leonard is out. He’s starting to look more like himself in recent games, which is a good sign for his value. Tony Parker isn’t a bad option in this slot either if you’re looking to save money. ***

Jarrett Jack, NY vs SA ($4,400): Jack has been at value or better in seven of his last eight games. He had 20.5 fantasy points against the Spurs on Dec. 28. That number would put him barely over value on Tuesday. He’s the more reliable play over rookie Frank Ntilikina, although Ntilikina has been playing well in recent contests. Either of the Knicks point guards is a decent option, but it might be tough to expect a rookie point guard to have two strong games against San Antonio in a week. ***
