2018 NFL Mock Draft: Baker Mayfield to Bills
By Brad Weiss
The Miami Dolphins missed out on the playoff this season, only one year after making it as a Wildcard in 2016. The season was not a complete loss; however, as we saw the rise of young stud running back Kenyon Drake. The Dolphins traded away Jay Ajayi during the season, and many people did not know why, but we have all seen the reason now, as Drake has become a bonafide feature running back.
During the preseason, the Dolphins saw starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill go down with a season-ending injury, though he should be back for 2018. That forced the team to bring in Jay Cutler, who like he always does, played some very inconsistent football. Tannehill is going to be back under center next season, and the team should spend their first round pick on some help up front on the offensive line.
Quenton Nelson might be the best offensive line prospect in this draft class, and he is certainly the best guard. The Dolphins spent a first round pick on Laremy Tunsil a couple years back, and bringing in more talent on the offensive line has got to be a priority next April. Nelson is going to be a Pro Bowl player at the next level, and Miami has the talent on both sides of the ball to be a playoff team next season if they can stay healthy.
