2018 NFL Mock Draft: Baker Mayfield to Bills
By Brad Weiss
It has been since 1999, but the Buffalo Bills are finally back in the playoffs. The Bills were able to punch their ticket this past weekend, as they beat the Miami Dolphins. However, the Bills did lose star running back LeSean McCoy in the game, and he is listed as a game-time decision against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who should throttle them in this one, making them a one-and-done team.
When it comes time to draft in April, the Bills have two first round picks, thanks to the trade they made with the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2017 NFL Draft. With their first of two picks, they should look to bring in a quarterback, as Tyrod Taylor is obviously no longer the future in Buffalo. Baker Mayfield is going to be a first round selection, and he would be a solid fit in Buffalo.
Mayfield went from walk-on to Heisman Trophy winner during his time in college, and plays with a fire that is matched by very few at the collegiate level. The Bills have not had that kind of leader under center since Jim Kelly, and he will be a beloved player by Bills Mafia. Mayfield is going to be scrutinized heavily during the draft process, but he should be a solid player in the NFL, and the Bills are a nice landing spot.
