2018 NFL Mock Draft: Baker Mayfield to Bills
By Brad Weiss
The best team in the AFC this season? Well, there is no surprise here, as the New England Patriots are currently the No. 1 seed in the AFC Playoffs. What that means in the AFC Playoffs will run through Foxboro, which is a scary situation for the rest of the conference. Tom Brady is playing at a high level once again, and the team could be headed to back-to-back titles.
When it comes time for them to draft in round one, the Patriots will be picking late, if they decide to keep the pick at all. The team has been notorious about trading away the pick, which they did last year to grad Brandin Cooks from the New Orleans Saints. If they do hold on to the pick, they might want to bring in another offensive weapon, and Bryce Love from Stanford would be a nice fit.
The Patriots have used a ton of running backs in recent years, though Love would give them stability at the position. Love proved during his time with Stanford that he can be a three-down back, which is something the Patriots have been lacking. Brady needs help on that side of the ball, and he would love to play with a player like Love, who plays with such passing from his running back position.
