DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 5, 2018
High Value PG
Ricky Rubio, UTA at DEN ($5,800): Maybe Rubio has turned a corner in recent games. He followed up his season high 46 fantasy point game against the Cavaliers with 31.5 fantasy points in 25 minutes against the Pelicans. His assist numbers are up, which is a good sign. He’s been inconsistent all season, but the Nuggets are 23rd against the position in their last 15 games and Rubio is averaging 28.8 fantasy points in three games against them this season. I like him to be around value. ***
Avery Bradley, DET at PHI ($5,300): Bradley returned after nearly a month off and had 29 fantasy points in 38 minutes against the Heat. With Reggie Jackson out of the lineup, Bradley will take on a bigger scoring role on the perimeter. Andre Drummond might be out as well on Friday, which will put an even bigger scoring burden on Bradley. Bradley has underperformed badly against the Sixers this season, but they are 20th against the position in their last 15 games. ***
Tyler Johnson, MIA vs NY ($5,200): Johnson has just 10.25 fantasy points against the Pistons on Wednesday and has missed value in two of his last three. However, the Knicks are 24th against the position in their last 15 games and Johnson posts the second highest usage rate of any Miami player in their last five games. I like Johnson to bounce back and hit around 30 fantasy points. ****
