1. Todd Gurley

It seems like forever ago but when this season started up, running back Todd Gurley had his share of critics. Some were even going as far as to call him Trent Richardson 2.0 which is about as big of an insult to a running back as it gets. Richardson had a few good games and then flamed out spectacularly and some felt Gurley could follow suit. After is 2017 campaign, there isn’t a soul on Earth who can doubt Gurley as he is a bona fide MVP candidate this season. He proved to be a dual-threat running back in the vein of Le’Veon Bell or David Johnson. He’s clearly one of the better backs in the league right now.

Gurley became only the fifth player in NFL history to lead the league in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. He accomplished that while sitting out the final game and missing parts of a few others due to the Rams blowing out their opponents. Gurley will only be 24 years old at the start of next season and has proven he can handle a full workload in the NFL. As Goff and McVay grow, that can only benefit Gurley and his efficiency. It was quite surprising that Gurley only had 14 carries Saturday night.

Sure, the Rams were losing almost the entire game but it was always within striking distance. That could be one thing McVay kicks himself for during the offseason. Moving forward, Gurley will continue to be the workhorse in this offense and he should be able to repeat the majority of his production from 2017.
