High Value PG

Dennis Smith Jr., DAL vs NY ($5,900): Smith Jr. has hit value in four straight contests and now he enters a favorable matchup with the Knicks. New York ranks 26th against the position in their last 15 games. The Mavericks offense has been on fire lately, thanks in large part due to the play of Smith. Expect him to have another strong night in the points and assist categories. ****

J.J. Barea, DAL vs NY ($5,900): Barea has been right there with Smith Jr. in terms of consistency as of late. His ceiling isn’t as high as the rookies, but he’s been much more reliable this season, hitting value in 75 percent of games this year. Barea has had 7+ assists in five straight games and he’s always good for a double-digit scoring game. Both Mavericks guards project well against the Knicks. It’s just a matter of whether you want consistency or ceiling. ***

Jarrett Jack, NY at DAL ($4,400): The Mavericks offense has clicked, but their defense hasn’t been much to write home about. Jack has missed value in two straight, but the Mavericks are 28th against the position in their last 15 games. Jack represents a better option than Frank Ntilikina for the Knicks. This should be a high scoring affair and Jack should put up solid scoring and assist numbers as a low cost. ***
