DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 9, 2018
High Value PG
Dennis Smith Jr., DAL vs ORL ($6,200): Smith Jr. missed value by 1.6 fantasy points against the Knicks on Sunday. Prior to that game, be had been over 30 fantasy points in four straight. The Magic are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. He’s been fairly reliable this season, hitting value in 61 percent of games. This is a good matchup for the Mavericks rookie and he should be back up to 30 fantasy points. ****
De’Aaron Fox, SAC at LAL ($5,500): Fox had a double-double and 31 fantasy points against the Spurs on Monday. With George Hill out of the lineup, Fox has been playing big minutes and contributing during those minutes. He had 23 fantasy points in 23 minutes against the Lakers on Nov. 22. He should play 30+ minutes once again on Tuesday. Not a lot has gone right for the Kings this year, but Fox has shown flashes of why he was a top talent coming out of the draft. He should be around value (25.2 fantasy points) in this one. ***
Delon Wright, TOR vs MIA ($4,400): Even if Kylie Lowry doesn’t miss Tuesday’s contest, Wright should be at value. I would suspect that the Raptors will be careful with Lowry on the back-to-back since they have aspirations beyond the regular season. Wright should see an increase in playing time either way and more run with the first unit. If Lowry is out, jump on Wright at this salary. If Lowry plays, he’s should still be around 20 fantasy points. His rating is based on Lowry being out. *****
