Each NFL team’s Olympic candidate

New England Patriots: Rob Gronkowski, Snowboarding
Sorry, Tom, just like you and Rodgers are some of the best quarterbacks on the football field doesn’t mean you’re good at everything. If I’m picking an Olympic candidate on the Patriots’ roster I’m sticking on the offensive side of the ball but not under center. The clearcut favorite for that position would be none other than tight end Rob Gronkowski himself.
Say what you want about Gronk but theirs no denying how incredible of an athlete he is. The eight-year veteran has battled injuries throughout his career but is one of the best offensive players when on the field. That’s a combination of his incredible size, power, and hands. There’s not a single defender that can guard Gronk and that isn’t an understatement. He’s listed as a tight end but is more like a wide receiver in theory and that’s how the Patriots have used him. Not often you’ll see Gronk blocking. Most of the time you’ll find him in the end zone or crushing beers in the offseason.
Watching Gronk doing any kind of Olympic sport would be entertaining. Combined with his personality and his athleticism, that’s some can’t miss television. Gronk always knows how to put on a show and he’d do that while snowboarding. I have no information on his past with the sport but it just seems like a sport the Gronkowski and his family would all do together. I’m not sure he’ll be as graceful as Shaun White but that’s not what we’re looking for.
