Each NFL team’s Olympic candidate

New York Jets: Jamal Adams, Speedskating
While the Jets’ record hasn’t been anything to cheer about this season, they’ve been a feisty team that’s put up a fight. Going into this season, many considered this to be one of the worst rosters ever seen. Those people can look back with regret because that was the furthest thing from the truth. The Jets have talent and first-round rookie safety Jamal Adams is a player to be excited about.
The Jets just about revamped their entire defense this past offseason and that included using a first and second-round pick in the secondary. Adams was a very talented prospect coming out of LSU and has shown flashes during his first season. He still hasn’t recorded his first interception but will get there given his talent. Adams clocked a 4.45 40-yard dash at his Pro Day coming into the NFL and has the ability to be an Ed Reed-like safety for years to come. That’s good company to be with and it’s warranted given Adams talent. He’s still got ways to go but the Jets can be excited with the young pieces they’re putting together.
Adams had already turned heads in the NFL and would do the same in the Olympics. What event he would participate it would be up for debate but Adams athleticism would make him a fantastic speed skating participant His first priority is with the Jets but if they keep losing, maybe he can make the transition over to the Olympics.
