San Francisco 49ers: Jimmy Garoppolo, Curling
The wonder boy, the savior of San Francisco, Jimmy Garoppolo is everything the 49ers could have asked for when they traded for him in early October. Garoppolo has since led the team to four straight wins and looks like the complete package at quarterback even at the age of just 26-years old. That’s what happens when you spend three and a half seasons learning under the greatest quarterback of all time. Something is going to rub off.
It’s not just Garoppolo’s play but the poise he brings. You’d think he was a seasoned veteran out on the field with the way he plays. There’s no panic and Garoppolo seems to know exactly what to say to get his team fired up. He’s a great game manager and has lead the Niners on game-winning drives two times already this season. We’d be talking about a completely different team if Garoppolo would have been traded at the start of the season.
This Olympic event has been mentioned yet but I could see Garoppolo faring well at handball. It’s very much like what a quarterback does in terms of throwing a football. Garoppolo would have to get a small ball into a tight window and he’s already good at doing that on the football field. He’d be even better with a bigger goal to throw at.
This Olympic event has been mentioned yet but I could see Garoppolo faring well at curling. That’s right, curling is one of the most popular Olympic sports and Garoppolo would be out there doing it. He’d be perfect because he’s got plenty of touch throwing and football and would do the same with the curling stone.
