Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mike Evans, Ski jumping
We’ve seen the best wide receivers in the NFL on this list and that continues with Mike Evans. He had extremely high expectations coming out of Texas A&M and has certainly lived up to those in four seasons with the Buccaneers. His numbers may be down this year but that’s a product of team struggles and not Evan’s ability. He’s a monster out on the field.
What makes Evans so dominant is his height. At 6-5 he towers over most other players on the football field. That kind of target at receiver is the best thing any quarterback could ask for. Evans can win the 50-50 balls the majority of the time but can also make moves in the open field and come away with some incredible catches. Most of the time receivers aren’t the most physical players out on the field but Evans thrives with contact. Whether it’s breaking tackles or throwing blocks Evans has shown that ability.
Like we’ve mentioned before with some of the taller receivers, ski jumping would be the perfect event. Not only does Evans have the height but he makes himself that much bigger with his vertical explosiveness. That would set some records for the ski jump I can tell you that. We’ve seen Evans exemplify that on the football field and I’m sure he’d have no problem doing that with another sport.
