Each NFL team’s Olympic candidate
By Joe Schiller
Tennessee Titans: Taylor Lewan
The second and final offensive lineman on this list, Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan deserves to be the team’s Olympic candidate. Not only is he a fantastic left tackle that’s been a great blindside protection for Marcus Mariota, he’s one of the most physical and passionate players you’ll find in the NFL/
If there’s anything we’ve learned through Lewan’s first four seasons in the league, it’s to not make him angry. He can be a hothead at times but don’t let that fool you, he’s extremely passionate and loves the game of football. He’ll be one of the first players to defend his teammates, even if it costs him a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the process. That kind of love for the game is something you certainly can’t teach and is why Lewan is one of the best in the business when it comes to his position. If he’s doing something he’s doing it 100%.
I’m honestly not sure what Olympic event Lewan would be placed in but he’s so passionate that I feel like he’d be a great addition to the team no matter what. He’s someone who could participate in the skeleton event because of his size. There would be plenty of gravity and speed accumulated with his 300+ pound frame.
