Buffalo Bills: LeSean McCoy, Speedskating

If you expected Nathan Peterman to be the Bills’ Olympic nominee then you’ve come to the wrong list. So far all he’s proven to do is throw the ball to opposing defenses with extreme inaccuracy. If the Bills are sending a player to the Olympics, running back LeSean McCoy is definitely the guy and it’s no question.

Shady is as good as they come in the backfield. We talked about some players being agile and McCoy is at the top of the list. He has the ability to make defenders look silly with the moves he makes on the football field. Just one cut can have a defender turned the other way while McCoy runs right past him for the touchdown. We saw him flourish with the Eagles and that’s translated over to his three seasons in Buffalo. McCoy now has two straight 1,000 yard rushing seasons and still has more games left to play this season.

A special talent like McCoy would have no problem in the Olympics. I’m not sure exactly where he fits given his 5-11 frame but I’d have to go with the speed skating because of McCoy’s speed and agility on the football field. If he can outrun defenders, he can outskate other Olympians with proper training. That’s the kind of talent he brings to the table The U.S. Olympic team would win even more medals with him on board, there’s no doubt about that.
