High Value PG

Ish Smith, DET at BKN ($5,700): Smith has been more hit than miss as the starter since Reggie Jackson went down. He’s coming off a 28.5 fantasy point game against the Pelicans and walks into a great matchup against the Nets. Brooklyn is 27th against the position in their last 15 games. Smith is a reliable scorer right now and he’s rebounding the ball well. Given that the Pistons only have a handful of guys who are good bets, grabbing one of them in this matchup is advisable. ****

Malcolm Brogdon, MIL vs ORL ($5,000): Brogdon has been at value or better in five straight and seven of his last eight. He’s been inserted into the starting lineup as the Bucks search for some sort of spark. It hasn’t exactly helped, but Brogdon is doing his part, at least in terms of fantasy numbers. The Magic are on a back-to-back and 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. Playing with the starters, Brogdon has a bigger opportunity to contribute. He sees big minutes either way, has been reliable this season, and should exceed his 23 fantasy point value on Wednesday. ****

Denzel Valentine, CHI at NY ($4,800): Valentine has been over 27 fantasy points in four of his last five. He posting well-rounded offensive numbers as of late and chipping in with a couple of defensive plays. He’s struggled for most of this season, hitting value in just 54 percent of games, but Pacers rout aside, their offense has found something recently. He should give you around 25 fantasy points and save you some money to spend elsewhere on a busy night. ***
