NBA Mock Draft: Jaren Jackson Jr. could help end the Magic’s never-ending rebuild
A decade ago, teams wouldn’t have known what to do with Milton. He sure wouldn’t have been a point guard, but with Schroder, Collins and a their top of the lottery pick fighting for the ball in Atlanta next year, Milton is an ideal fit as a table-setter and knockdown shooter.
The SMU sophomore is shooting 40 percent from 3 on the year and continues to get better. Last Thursday, Milton scored 24 points on only 14 shots against Tulane in AAC competition. SMU, unfortunately, started conference play with a 1-2 record.
Milton should leave the school after this season, especially if the Mustangs continue to struggle. He is ready for the NBA, where his versatile skill set as a ball-handler with scoring and defending upside will be extremely valuable. Milton could play next to several combinations of guards and give the Hawks more flexibility in the guard rotation.
