NFL Playoffs: Divisional round quarterback rankings

5. Case Keenum, Minnesota Vikings
The toughest debate in my eyes was between Mariota and Vikings’ quarterback Case Keenum. However, Keenum’s exception play this season is what pushed him ahead of the Titans quarterback.
The Vikings have been the surprise story of the 2017-18 season. They lost two starting quarterbacks, Teddy Bridgewater and Sam Bradford and a starting running back Dalvin Cook. Their offense did not skip a beat in large part to a revamped offensive line, a myriad of weapons and Case Keenum.
The journeyman quarterback joined the Vikings this offseason looking to simply backup the aforementioned quarterbacks. Including this season he is 20-18 as a starter so not much was expected. Of those 20 wins 11 came this season to put into perspective how little we could have expected this from Keenum.
This season he looks like a completely different player in leading the Vikings to the second best record in the NFC. Keenum has thrown for 3547 yards in 14 starts with 22 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He enters this weekend without a single game of post season experience. He is the last quarterback on this list who does not have experience in these games.
The Vikings are the Jaguars of the NFC except Keenum can win the team some games. Minnesota has a dominant defense that will look to slow down Drew Brees and the Saints this weekend. Keenum will have his work cut out for him against New Orleans improved defense. This is the most intriguing matchup of the weekend in my eyes.
