Every Winter Olympic sports perfect theme song

Luge: “Low Rider” – War
If Nic Cage was a Winter Olympic athlete, he’d definitely enjoy the luge because he’s such a luger. But seriously, you can’t get Gone in 60 Seconds without cranking some “Low Rider” by War, just like it has to be the official unofficial song of Olympic luging.
The bass line and the drums take you on a fantastic journey from start to finish, just like the track in the luge. When the horns kick in, no doubt you will want to try this slightly terrifying Winter Olympics sport. The vocals are incendiary, just like Russell Hammond’s guitar playing in Stillwater.
See, all these lugers are flying around the track merely inches, or centimeters because the IOC is all “metric” or whatever, above this ice. They are wearing the snuggliest of onesies you’ll ever see. Frankly, the cool track by War gives them the confidence to make it from start to finish down this frozen slide of death. When the Low Rider rides a little higher, that could be bad for the luger.
Like most of these tracks I’ve chosen, it syncs up pretty good with multiple YouTube videos going. What this song does is takes a bit of the urgency out of the event and inevitably makes it the coolest of these cold events we stay in our houses and watch every four Februarys. “Low Rider” makes most things better, but especially luging.
