Expect Coca-Cola to remain a big part of stock car racing at its highest level this season.

Not all of the sponsor and business news in NASCAR is bad news these days. Coca-Cola, one of the biggest and most prominent companies with a large presence in the sport, is sticking around in a big way for 2018.

Announced today in a press release, the Coca-Cola extension covers a number of things. Coke will remain the “Official Soft Drink of NASCAR” and be featured at the tracks operated by ISC.

The brand will also continue on as the title sponsor of the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and the summer Cup Series race at Daytona, which sounds like it may simply be the Coca-Cola 400 as opposed to the Coke Zero 400 as it has been for the last 10 years.

On top of that, the Coca-Cola Racing Family returns, with a number of drivers from different race teams (and all three manufacturers) included underneath its general umbrella. The Racing Family drivers for 2018 are:

  • Austin Dillon
  • Denny Hamlin
  • Kyle Larson
  • Joey Logano
  • Ryan Newman
  • Daniel Suarez
  • Bubba Wallace

“Our continued partnership with Coca-Cola is a product of a long history of successful collaboration,” Steve Phelps, NASCAR EVP and chief global sales and marketing officer, said in the press release. “Partnering with a global company like Coca-Cola puts NASCAR in front of a massive scope of consumers while providing our partners direct engagement with the most brand faithful fan base in sports.”
