DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 17, 2018
High Value PG
Ish Smith, DET at TOR ($5,800): Smith had 44.25 fantasy points against the Hornets on Monday. He’s hit value in 63 percent of his games as a starter, although that doesn’t include Monday’s contest due to him not being available on any DraftKings slate. He played great against the Raptors on Apr. 5 of last year as the Pistons starter, contributing 31.5 fantasy points. Given his scoring and playmaking ability, he should be around value once again on Wednesday. If Kyle Lowry is suspended, that will make Smith’s job easier.
Milos Teodosic, LAC vs DEN ($5,200): As long as Teodosic is playing, he’s typically producing. There are always injury concerns with him, but in games where he’s played over 20 minutes, he’s averaging 24.5 fantasy points and has hit value in 69 percent of games. He needs 23.6 fantasy points to hit value on Wednesday. The Nuggets are on a back-to-back, but do rank 11th against the position in their last 15 games. I like Teodosic to be around value, with a chance to go way over if the Nuggets are sluggish. ***
De’Aaron Fox, SAC vs UTA ($5,100): The Jazz are 22nd against the position in their last 15 games. Fox has been playing great in recent games, hitting value in six of his last seven. He’s getting the playing time to make an impact as the Kings have gone with a youth movement to start the year. He’s a solid scorer and playmaker who should see plenty of minutes and opportunities in this one. On a big night, he’s a cheap option who can go over value. ***
