The Miami Dolphins made it to the playoffs last season, as they were one of the Wild Card teams in the AFC. Coming into 2017, there were plenty of expectations, but those hit a big snag when starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill was injured during the preseason. The team had to go out and get Jay Cutler from the broadcast booth to fill the position, and he just did not play consistently enough under center to get the team back to the playoffs.

Heading into 2018, the Dolphins have to be excited with some of the talent coming back. Tannehill should certainly be healthy enough to play, and Kenyon Drake emerged as a true star at the running back position. On the defensive side of the ball, Miami could use some help, and that is where they should use their first round pick this April.

One of the biggest news stories of the past week has been the influx of talent entering the 2018 NFL Draft. Star Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith threw his name in the hat on Monday, as he declared early for the draft, and should be one of the top defensive players selected. He is a do-everything linebacker who has an unbelievable motor, and would be an absolute star on a very decent Dolphins defense heading into next season.
