During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears traded up one spot to select Mitchell Trubisky from the University of North Carolina. The plan was for Mike Glennon to start last season, and let Trubisky have a year to learn, as he only started one season for the Tar Heels. Well, Glennon was awful, and the Bears had to make the move to Trubisky, who at least got some solid experience this past season.

Heading into next year, there are a lot of question marks on this roster. One question mark was answered early in the offseason, as the team hired Matt Nagy to replace John Fox as head coach. Nagy was the offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs this past season, so you can be sure that Trubisky has to be excited to play for a coach who is so offensive-minded, and can help him develop within the position.

Last year, the Bears lost so many weapons on offense especially in the passing game. They should spend their top-10 pick on a wide receiver, and Calvin Ridley from Alabama could be the first wideout off the board in April. Ridley showed what kind of difference maker he is during the College Football Playoff, and adding as many weapons around Trubisky as possible will only help him in his development moving forward.
